This week’s already saying “WTF?”
And it’s only Tuesday.
There are so many important events that have happened recently, are happening now, or are about to happen that need our attention.
I do not have the resources to write in depth about all of them
And I can’t single any one of them out because each of them matters as much as the others.
But they are all part of the same pattern and what that pattern reveals is that the American justice system is very broken.
Some will say it’s actually functioning as designed and that we are just becoming more aware of the flaws now that it is facing more scrutiny.
There is a truth to that.
But it is definitely getting worse.
And it can’t continue. Too much is happening too quickly for us to keep pretending everything is fine as it is.
The cracks are starting to show and we are at real risk of it all coming apart if we do not do better and make some changes.
Because justice only for some actually means justice for none and more and more people are realizing that every day.
And people who do not receive the justice they are promised tend to find ways to take it for themselves.
And that's a path that will tear us apart if we let it.
